We are pleased to announce List 7: Classics, containing 30 antiquarian books of classical texts and scholarship.
Almost half the items are printed by the Foulis brothers of Glasgow, including the first book printed in Greek in that city; the list also features the first edition of Housman’s Maniliusfrom the library of a prominent Latinist, a rare sixteenth-century Juvenal annotated by an early owner, and several very nice bindings.
