Boards lightly soiled and slightly rubbed at extremities. Prize label to front pastedown of St Luke’s Schools, Miles Platting, awarding the book to Harry Whitworth in 1899.
A rare illustrated children's book from the firm of Ernest Nister, which speicalised in colour printing (from its Bavarian base) and moveable books, though this one is unmoving and relatively plain apart from the front cover and frontispiece. We have been able to trace no copies in COPAC, Worldcat, or in auction records.
