Notes

The second expanded collection of poet James Brown of Selkirk's (1832-1904) works, following the first of 1869. A native of the Borders, he signed his work J.B. Selkirk and much of his work concerns the area around the town, such as the first sequence included here, 'Songs of Yarrow.'
