Nineteenth-century half red roan, marbled boards, spine divided by gilt rules and lettered in gilt direct, slightly amateurishly. Foxed and soiled, one text leaf in first work frayed at edges and sometime reinforced. Binding rubbed, extremities worn, joints cracked but hinges reinforced with cloth tape. Stamps of the Richmond Physical Society and Richmond Hospital, Dublin, to initial leaves (dispersed by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland).
