Description

8vo, pp. xliv, 268. Untrimmed in original grey paper boards backed in green cloth, printed paper label. Toned and spotted, some soiling. Binding rubbed, cloth nearly fully split at front joint (but the structure sound), some wear elsewhere, label darkened and partially defective.

Notes

Reid's classic philosophical study of common sense and perception was first published in 1764 and went through numerous editions; this one, printed by the university printer to St Andrews, was presumably for use as a textbook and is now scarce, especially in its original state.
