FIRST EDITION, 4to, [viii], 162 + 41 photo lithograph plates. Interleaved with lined paper. Publisher’s red cloth over bevelled boards, gilt lettering to spine and front board, top edge gilt. A touch of foxing, offsetting from newspaper cuttings. Binding a touch rubbed, sunned to spine and front board. Signed ‘Wm Watt Free Press Aberdeen’ below preface, notes on interleaves as well as photographs and newspaper cuttings.

Notes

Probably the copy of William Watt, who ran the Free Press in Aberdeen and likely wrote the preface for the book. Throughout he has added notes, pictures, and articles to complement the text.
