FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. viii, 217, [1]. Original green cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt. Toned, a tiny tear to final leaf. One or two slight marks, extremities slightly rubbed. Ownership inscription of Emily Margaret Colquhoun (Dec. 25 1903) to flyleaf.

Notes

An important early book on golf by Dundee-born John Laing Low (1869-1929), particularly notable for its chapter on course design. Low had been Captain at Woking Golf Club, where he was instrumental in major developments in the design of inland golf courses.
