Contemporary half midnight blue calf, marbled boards, spines divided by raised bands gilt, 2nd and 4th compartments lettered direct in gilt, edges sprinkled red. A little foxing to flyleaves and plates, some spotting to title-pages, inkstain to one opening. A little rubbed, spines lightly sunned. Bookplates of Joshua Rigg to pastedowns, gift inscription to flyleaf of vol. 1: ‘Given to Doctor Rigg by Georgina Histon as a small mark of her gratitude for his attention, kindness and professional skill during her husband’s late severe illness.
