8vo, pp. lxxii, 456 + 2 plates and a folding map. Later half calf, purple textured cloth boards, spine divided by raised bands decorated in gilt, gilt decorations at spine ends, green morocco label, leather bordered with blind roll, marbled edges. Some spotting, one bifolium partly sprung, a little offsetting from frontispiece. A little rubbed, some fading, particularly to spine. Ownership inscription of C. Trevelyan to flyleaf dated 1871.
