Description

2 vols., 8vo, pp. xv, [i], 303, [5]; [iv], 366, [2]. Facing pages of Latin and French. Contemporary marbled sheep, spines divided by gilt rolls, yellow and green labels, other compartments with central sunburst or urn tools, edges sprinkled blue. A small wormhole in lower blank margin, a little faint toning in places. Labels rubbed, headcaps chipped, a small area of surface damage to spine of vol. 1.

Notes

A pleasant copy of a rare bilingual schoolbook edition of selections from Livy, edited by by the Jesuit Armand-Laurent Paul (1740-1809). Worldcat locates only four copies, in the BNF, Augsburg, Universite Laval, and Stanford.
