FIRST EDITION, NO. 198 OF 300 COPIES SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, 4to, pp. 75, [1] + frontispiece. Original red buckram, spine lettered in gilt. Limitation leaf toned, a few minor spots. Extremities slightly rubbed, spine a touch sunned. An ALs from the author loosely inserted.

Notes

A bibliographical catalogue of the collection formed by Philip Gosse (1879-1959), son of the writer Edmund Gosse. By profession a physician, Philip was by calling an expert on piracy, and his collection is now in the Royal Maritime Museum at Greenwich.
