8vo, pp. vi, [iv], 262 + frontispiece portrait. Contemporary calf, spine divided by raised bands between gilt rules, red morocco label. Some dustsoiling. Rubbed and scratched, front joint cracking, front flyleaf torn and repaired with tape. Pencil notes to front pastedown.
The third and best edition - following two anonymous issues from the Foulis Press and a second edition after Hamilton's death which attached his name for the first time; the portrait, which appears for the first time here, is not always found. This is the issue with the Stationer's Hall notice on three lines.
