A pamphlet arguing against industrialist Robert Owen's (1771-1858) socialist reforms at the mill and workers' village at New Lanark, by minister John Brown (1784-1858). Brown argues that Owen's proposals lack rigour, both logically and theologically. These remarks were first published in 'The Christian Repository,' a periodical Brown edited from 1816 to 1826.
