Small 8vo, pp. xxviii, 547, [1] + 71 coloured plates, several folding, some double-sided, with several more illustrations included in pagination to make up the ‘118 maps and plans’ stated. Original limp red cloth boards, blocked in blind, spine and front board lettered direct in gilt, marbled edges, dustjacket printed in red, white and blue. Dustjacket a little rubbed, chipped to head of spine, small tear to edge of rear panel.
