Notes

A later printing of this successful bible by the enterprising printer Samuel Bagster - the notes and parallel passages, mainly selected by Bagster himself, enable the edition to escape the royal monopoly on bible printing. This version first appeared in 1816, along with the first parts of Bagster's substantial polyglot edition, and this printing accompanied the final parts of the first issue.
