12mo, pp. [ii], 148. Untrimmed in contemporary pink paper boards sometime backed in cream paper. Poor-quality paper somewhat toned and spotted, paper flaw to title-page. Rubbed and a little soiled, some wear to extremities. Ownership inscription of Anna Turner to title-page, some arithmetic in ink to boards.

A seemingly unrecorded edition of Scots verse, which is bereft of publisher details but which shares its contents with an 1804 Edinburgh printing by John Turnbull. The paper in this copy bears an 1811 watermark. The first and longest of the poems represented here, The Fortunate Shepherdess, was first published in 1768, with the other, shorter pieces dating between 1759 and 1796.
