Description

8vo, pp. 284 + frontispiece, engraved title-page and 5 additional plates. Original purple textured cloth, black morocco label. Plates spotted and somewhat foxed, one rather browned, pages lightly spotted, final few leaves of text and 4 plates (bound at rear) with 4cm cut to bottom edge. Boards unevenly faded, somewhat marked and a little rubbed. Gift inscription to flyleaf: ‘Eva Munro from G. & J. Brodie, Aug. 1894,’ pencil note underneath noting ‘given by Eva Munro to The Revd Charlles Robertson,’ binder’s ticket of D. Batten, Clapham Common and large pencil portrait of a woman to rear pastedown.
