A scarce late edition of this perennial schoolbook classic, translated from the work of Fran├žois Pomey and first published in 1694. It saw dozens of further editions, with this being one of four Edinburgh issues in the same year (the first time it appeared with an imprint outside of London or Dublin). All of these Edinburgh issues are rare, with this one located by ESTC in just three locations: BL, NLS, NLW.
