Later polished tree calf by Andrew Grieve of Edinburgh, boards bordered with a double gilt rule, spines divided by raised bands, red and green morocco labels, other comparments with central gilt tools surrounded by lozenges made up of small dot and star tools and corner flower tools all gilt, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt. Some foxing to page edges. Bindings just very slightly rubbed in a few places, most notably at head of some joints, a few surface scratches.
